Message from President Lindell
Dear Guaranty Customers,
What do you dream about?  Need to put money aside to help achieve your dreams?  Recently my daughter opened a new savings account with Guaranty Bank. Her savings has already helped fund one of her dreams to travel with Linn Mar High School Classmates this past summer.

Marion Branch Highlight / Community Involvement
It’s never too early for students to learn the value of money.
This is exactly what Linn Mar students did on September 14th.  Students from all grades participated in the “Real Life Academy.” The event was coordinated by Michelle Havener of State Farm Insurance. “The idea is to teach financial literacy, but also make it fun,” she said. In this “mock life exercise”, each student had their own fate which could change at a moment’s notice.

Social Security Number Randomization Began June 25, 2011

Keeping the Peace
An Executor of an estate is often faced with multiple decisions following the death of a loved one.  For many, the death of a close family member, coupled with the massive responsibilities involved in gathering information, paying outstanding expenses, and distributing assets can be overwhelming.  Not only is the Executor dealing with his or her own grief after someone’s death, but he or she must also deal with those emotions in others.

Telephone Scams!
Numerous people around the Cedar Rapids area have recently become targets of ANOTHER telephone scam with many reports coming from none other than Guaranty Bank customers and employees.
