What has four eyes, two ties and not much hair? The picture on the Guaranty billboard and from the comments Steve Shepherd, VP Commercial Lending, and I have had, seems like everyone has seen “our” billboard on Interstate 380. Of course, that’s the purpose …. to remind you and every customer or potential customer of the people, products and locations Guaranty Bank has to serve your financial needs for your kind of life.

That’s why there’s life insurance

Life can take unexpected, unpredictable turns, towards the amusing, the annoying, and, unfortunately, even the tragic. So every day, you take little steps to improve the odds that good things will happen and to guard against the bad. You wear seatbelts. You lock your doors when you leave home. You buy life insurance for the same kind of reason – to protect your family financially. It ensures that your loved ones will have the kind of lifestyle and opportunities you always hoped they’d have, even if you’re not here. Will your family be OK when life happens?

What is SMiShing?

Q: We have account holders reporting that they received text messages, claiming to be from us, about fraud on their account. We don't send text messages about account problems. What's going on?

A: Criminals sending text messages to potential victims is known as SMiShing, short for SMS Phishing, which is a form of social engineering where criminals use text messages to impersonate a legitimate business to gain access to consumer information like card numbers, account numbers, identities, etc. It's a common form of identity theft today. If an account holder reports that they responded to the message, then your institution should identify what the consumer provided and take appropriate actions.
